Warp Speed

Curtis chatted away on his cell phone and a torrential downpour ensued around us as we sat trapped in my Jeep in front of the Fast Lane near Blacklog. Little did I know that joggling the steering wheel a bit will make the ignition start working again after you've spent 5 minutes going insane trying to turn it and it just won't click. Curtis' mom did know this - and saved our trip.

Our trip was one to watch the new "Star Trek" movie last night. Going into the film never having seen any iteration of the television show, it was hard to think I would've came out dissapointed. That said, it's probably the best movie that has been released so far in this short summer movie season. If the other releases I'm anticipating are as good as "Star Trek" was, then this will be a stellar summer indeed cinema-wise.

Saturday school wasn't anything special - we got out early though, for flooding, which was beautifully ironic. Mom picked me up around 1:30 to bring me to Huntington with her. I've spent the remainder of the day in the city, getting fitted for my tuxedo and waiting to go to Chili's for Krystle's (late) birthday dinner.

Denver/Dallas is tied at the moment I type this. Going to cut this off to get ready for dinner. Will try to post something else later. Apologies for the shortness. I'll leave this short little clip featuring the Burger King King as a Klingon trying to steal one of the "Star Trek" glasses the store is selling. This is just one of many videos featured, so be sure to check the rest of them out if you enjoy this one.

Batman, AWAY!!!
